5 beauty product dupes that are actually worth it!
We all know and love our staple products that we pay top dollar for. But what happens when a new product comes along for half the price? And it actually works! Are we going to make the switch? Today I’m putting you on to my favorite high-end dupes that perform just as good at half the cost! Take a look!
#1) Charlotte Tillbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder $48 vs. Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder $7
I fell in love with the Maybelline powder years ago when the “fit me” line first launched. It was the perfect pressed powder to keep you set all day long without that heavy feel of being powdered down. However, when I tried Charlotte Tillbury powder last year I felt that true love feeling once again. I would definitely say both products are comparable in texture, finish, and longevity. The only noticeable difference to me is that the CT powder feels a little bit lighter on the skin, making for more comfortable wear.
#2) Hourglass Scattered Light Eyeshadow $30 vs. Ulta Beauty Lustrous Foil Eyeshadow $10
#3) Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze $23 vs. Elf Brow Glue in clear $9
We all remember when the brow freeze launched and the rise of fluffy brows skyrocketed! I have been looking for something that holds the hairs in place all night long. The brow freeze was my go-to for a while but since trying the elf product I have been hooked! It might not seem like your typical dupe but the result that both give you is so comparable. I will say the brow freeze has a softer texture once applied unlike the brow glue that dries down completely.
4) NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer $32 vs. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer $8
One of my favorite dupes for the price and performance! I swear you could put these two concealers side by side applied the same way on someones face and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It is that good! For clients, I love reaching for the NARS concealer—for myself, I would reach for the Maybelline concealer. I definitely suggest it as a light every day wear concealer. You cant beat the price of this dupe!
5) Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation $69 vs. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation $13
This might be your best bargain! When I first started my career journey in beauty, my kit was filled with drugstore products that I could afford. These included loads of L’Oreal and Maybelline products and anything that was on sale. Using what I could afford, I discovered the Infallible Pro-Glow Line from L’Oreal and stocked my kit with their range of foundation shades. The foundation seemed to work on almost every skin type, texture, and tone. MUA’s all over might come for me when I say save your money…. The Giorgio Armani foundation is gorgeous on everyone, but applies better to skin that doesn’t have a ton of blemishes, dry spots, or fine lines. As a working makeup artist, I see tons of different skin types and rarely any of them are perfectly clear. In my opinion, the drugstore foundation is more user friendly, in application and to your wallet.
If you made it this far, just know I love you and am happy to talk beauty with you any time!! I am so grateful to be able to share my knowledge and love of beauty to the world. The confidence it brings you— is the joy it brings me! Make sure to tag along to see what I’m up to and where I’m headed next!
